Hi, I’m Aled, a Registered Psychologist who works with couples seeking to feel more connected, understood, and aligned in their relationship. If you find yourselves having the same argument repeatedly or notice that everyday things—like house chores or small misunderstandings—often escalate into bigger disagreements, it can be frustrating and exhausting. My role is to help you unpack these stuck issues, make sense of what is happening between you, and develop more supportive and flexible ways of responding that align with what matters to you both. I am continually aware of how meaningful, rewarding and passionate relationships can be, as well as how easily couples can become caught in patterns that leave both people feeling stuck, frustrated, or disconnected.
My work is grounded in values of inclusivity, respect, and curiosity about each person’s lived experience. I bring a warm and friendly therapeutic style, creating a grounded and confidential space where you can feel safe to explore sensitive issues without fear of judgment. I practice in a non-judgmental way, guided by evidence and science-based approaches to support meaningful and lasting change. As a member of the queer community, I am mindful of the diverse ways’ relationships can be experienced, along with the unique strengths and challenges this can involve. I welcome people of all identities, backgrounds, and relationship structures.
I follow the Gottman Couples Therapy method; the first and fourth sessions are held as extended double sessions (80 minutes each), allowing enough time for a thorough assessment of your relationship. A one-off Gottman Relationship Checkup assessment is also required.

The Gottman Method
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Self-Compassion Therapy
Humanistic Therapy
Couples+ therapy is my passion, and I am deeply committed to supporting couples in building stronger, more connected, and fulfilling relationships. In my other clinical work roles, I have supported individuals through grief as a counsellor, and I continue to work in private practice with a broad range of general presentations.
Before becoming a psychologist, I spent 15 years working in the creative industries, which gives me a unique appreciation for the diverse, dynamic, and creative communities in the inner north of Melbourne, where I live and work.
This local connection helps me understand the specific needs and values of the people I work with, allowing me to tailor therapy in a way that feels relevant, respectful, and grounded in real life.
