Hi, my name is Azul (she/her). I am a clinical psychologist offering sessions via Telelehealth during business hours and after-hours.I work with couples+ who are seeking to strengthen their relationships and/or navigate periods of difficulty. My focus is on creating a space where all feel respected, supported, and able to speak openly without fear of judgement. I see therapy as a collaborative, client-centred process and I believe strongly in the importance of tailoring my approach to meet the needs and preferences of clients. My approach draws on different therapeutic models, including schema therapy, the Gottman Method, and compassion-focused therapy.
I believe that every person and every relationship is unique, and I am passionate about getting to know each client as both an individual and as part of their relationship. Together, I aim to explore patterns, soften conflict, deepen understanding, and strengthen connection in ways that align with your shared goals and values.
I welcome couples+ of all backgrounds, genders, sexual orientations, abilities, relationship structures, and therapy goals. I also provide therapy sessions in Spanish.

Relationship Therapy
Relationship therapy may suit you if you’d like to navigate and nurture the connections that are significant to you.
Luma Room is based on Wurundjeri land in Brunswick. We offer relationship therapy for couples+ either in person at our location on Sydney Road (near Barkly Square) or via Telehealth online, if preferred.
I like to draw from therapies including:
• Schema Therapy
• The Gottman Method
• Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
• Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
• Motivational Interviewing
Beyond Luma Room, I work at a major public health network and in private practice. I have experience working with both children and adults in inpatient and outpatient settings as well as schools. I have also conducted research into the impact of polycystic ovary syndrome on individuals' relationships and physical and psychological experience. I have been lucky enough to work with clients of diverse backgrounds, presentations, goals, and relationship structures.
I have a special interest in working with self-esteem issues, loneliness, and social anxiety. Other presentations I have experience working with include depression, trauma, anxiety, panic, adjustment, neurodivergence, and grief and loss.
My approach is grounded in a person-centred framework, creating a safe and understanding space where each person’s perspectives and emotions are recognised. In couples work, I focus not only on the dynamic playing out between the couple(+) but also make space for what each partner brings into the therapy space as an individual.
