Sexology is the study of human sexuality, including desire, pleasure, intimacy, identity, and the ways these things shape our relationships. Sex therapy offers a space to talk openly about these parts of life, with someone trained to hold those conversations with care, curiosity, and warmth.
At Luma Room, all clinicians are comfortable discussing sex and intimacy with you. However, some of our clinicians have particular training backgrounds and experience in sexology, and may be well matched if you're hoping to navigate specific or complex challenges around sex and intimacy.
Sex therapy may be able to support you to explore things like differences in desire, reconnecting after a period of distance, talking about sex, pleasure, anxiety around sex, kinks and fantasies, difficulties with arousal or orgasm, or the stories and scripts you’ve learned about sex. Sessions are talk-based, and you’re welcome to go at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
All genders, identities, sexualities, and relationship structures are welcome.
