Hi, I'm Mykah DeRose (he/they). I'm a psychotherapist who helps people navigate the complexity of relationships. I bring a relational, systemic, and integrative approach to understanding the patterns that shape connection, communication, intimacy, and conflict.
My work is collaborative, trauma-informed, and focused on supporting clients to integrate new insights through the therapeutic process, facilitating meaningful and lasting change.
I have extensive experience working with people from diverse backgrounds and relationship contexts. I work with heterosexual and cisgender couples, LGBTQIA+ communities, and people in diverse relationship structures, including consensually non-monogamous and polyamorous relationships. My aim is to create a therapeutic space where every client feels understood, respected, and able to bring the fullness of their experience into the room.
I hold a Master of Psychotherapy and Counselling from the Cairnmillar Institute and have completed specialised training in Integrative Couple Therapy through Relationships Australia Victoria. I am a registered member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA).
I am a second-generation Southern Italian settler living and working on the unceded lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation.
