Hi, I'm Sarah, and my pronouns are she/her. I'm a qualified sexologist and sex and relationship counsellor.
I'm passionate about helping people develop healthier relationships with themselves, their sexuality, and others. I believe conversations around sex, intimacy, and relationships should feel open, accessible, and free from shame, supporting greater confidence, connection, and self-understanding.
I enjoy supporting clients to explore and reshape the stories they've learned about sex, intimacy, and relationships, with a focus on reconnecting with pleasure, curiosity, and authenticity.
I bring empathy, curiosity, and openness into my work, and I find humour can be a helpful part of the therapeutic process when it naturally arises, helping to create ease and connection.
I welcome people from all backgrounds, identities, sexualities, and relationship structures, and I am committed to providing an inclusive, affirming, and non-judgemental therapeutic space.

Relationship Therapy
Relationship therapy may suit you if you’d like to navigate and nurture the connections that are significant to you.
Luma Room is based on Wurundjeri land in Brunswick. We offer relationship therapy for couples+ either in person at our location on Sydney Road (near Barkly Square) or via Telehealth online, if preferred.
I like to draw from therapies including:
• Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
• Mindfulness-based Therapy
• Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
• Person-centred Therapy
• Attachment Theory
• The Gottman Method
My practice is grounded in a client-centred framework, and I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities depending on each person or couple’s unique needs, goals, and experiences. I hold a Master of Sexology (Professional) and have specialised training in sexology and relationship therapy. I am committed to ongoing professional development and integrating evidence-informed approaches into my work.
I have a particular interest in supporting individuals and couples+ to develop a stronger sense of self and a more compassionate relationship with themselves, their bodies, and their sexuality. I believe that building self-worth and self-understanding can support people to communicate their needs more confidently, advocate for themselves, and cultivate more authentic and fulfilling relationships. Other challenges I support clients with are strengthening intimacy, sexual connection, desire discrepancies, communication, and developing a more positive and pleasurable relationship with sexuality.
Outside of work, I enjoy exploring new cafes and restaurants, practising yoga and pilates, going for walks, and spending time with the people I love.
